Abstract: |
In determining the archaeological potential of the proposed development area the possibility of Mid- and Late-Saxon settlement and defensive remains, and medieval occupational remains being present was recorded, an Augustinian Friary being mentioned. The possibility of the presence of potentially noxious industrial remains was noted, but further evaluation of archaeological potential was needed. Deposits of high environmental potential (unusual in Northampton) were located.[AIP] |
