Abstract:		 An archaeological desk-based assessment was undertaken in advance of a proposed school development. The archaeological potential for this site was high. There was evidence for a variety of recorded archaeological remains dating from the Bronze Age to Saxon periods in the general vicinity of the study area and several Roman burials had been excavated. In the medieval period, Newlands Farm, in the centre of the site was established as a grange and the land on and around Pysons Farm was farmed. [AIP]
