Abstract: |
A watching brief was conducted on the extension to the cricket pavilion. The area is adjacent to the exterior of the medieval town wall. The cricket field is known as The Butts and is supposedly the site where English archers practised before the battle of Agincourt in 1415. Nothing of archaeological significance was recovered.
