Abstract: |
A desk based assessment of the site of proposed commercial development within an archaeologically rich area, revealed the site to have archaeological potential and has retrieved evidence of settlement on the site from the Neolithic onwards. This includes previously excavated Neolithic/Bronze Age henge monuments superimposed by an extensive Jutish cemetery. Cropmark evidence revealed a complex multi-roomed building possibly a Roman villa or medieval manor house. [AIP] |
