Abstract: |
A walk-over survey was carried out in order to assess the potential impact on remains during the refurbishment of overhead power lines. Drystone walls and other features such as former field patterns along the route were observed, as well as prehistoric and Roman activity. Former settlements including building ruins and routeways were also identified as part of the survey. Any impacts by proposed access routes could be mitigated and minimised by the utilisation of existing trackways. [Au(adp)] |
