Abstract: |
Despite the relatively small area covered by the basement the amount of archaeological material surviving was surprising. Consisting of a series of mostly intercutting cess/rubbish pits and post holes, they clearly represented a long period of domestic occupation covering the Anglo-Saxon through to the early Norman period.
