Abstract: |
A survey of the National Trust's holdings at Dannonchapel Farm was undertaken. Sites identified included a manor documented in the Domesday Survey of 1086 as 'Duuenant' and probably located at Dannonchapel; the alleged site of a chapel; an alleged early medieval settlement; a 19th century farmhouse; post-medieval farmbuildings; a pond; the 19th century Dannonchapel cottage; a field system probably much modified from a medieval layout; Dannonchapel slate quarry and an assocaited tunnel; holloways; and a 20th century coastguard lookout building.
