Abstract: |
The archaeological desk-based assessment was carried out at the site and although the site lay on a favourable promontory overlooking the confluence of the River Orwell and Belstead Brook and would have been an ideal settlement location, the construction of the 1969 shopping complex had a considerable disturbance of the ground so that the potential for survival of archaeology was low.
