Abstract: |
The desk-based archaeological assessment for the proposed conversion and extension of farm buildings to form three dwellings showed that the development area had considerable archaeological potential. The farm buildings were adjacent to the medieval moated site of Old Hays, a SAM, which had associated manorial earthworks west and north of the moated enclosure. It was possible that buried archaeological remains relating to the site had survived within the proposed development area and hence may be impacted upon by any groundworks. [Au(abr)] |
