Abstract: |
Though very little of archaeological interest was revealed during a watching brief during the construction of an extension a few insights were obtained. The depth of builders rubble and disturbed ground, nearly 1 metre, indicated that a considerable depth of archaeological stratification existed around the church which masked archaeological featurs such as the 19th century memorial vault that was revealed.
