Abstract: |
Despite extensive quarrying and development, deposits of known and potential Palaeolithic significance survived at many locations within and around the Ebbsfleet Valley. A Saxon timber mill recently discovered at Northfleet works, in the earliest horizontal watermill found in England was of national importance. As a whole, the archaeological significance was regarded as high. [Au(adp)] |
