Abstract: |
During the watching brief, observations showed that the majority of the site had been quarried and backfilled, however a small remnant of undisturbed ground survived in the northern part of the site. This small area produced 50 sherds of Bronze Age pottery. The evidence from this watching brief confirmed the picture from the Hampshire Sites and Monuments Record that the Lower Test Valley was widely exploited in the Bronze Age.[Au(abr)] |
