Abstract: |
The digging for a new conservatory and an extension for the existing lounge was observed. No evidence of human activity prior to the 1979 construction work was recorded in this area and the natural shillet was found to rise considerably towards the present mound to the west. Much of the ground had been disturbed in recent years with the construction of High Beech and associated garden landscaping, the construction of the previous conservatory and the laying out of a gravel path in this location.
