Abstract: |
The desktop study of the proposed development site revealed that the majority of the area remained undeveloped pasture until the construction of the Up Town Club in the late 20th century. The land boundaries in and around the study area appeared to have been altered very little between the 18th and 21st centuries. The only development was the construction of three c.17th/18th century cottages demolished between 1955 and 1982. A small late 19th century building abutted the south side of the Listed section of the Up Town Club. [Au(abr) |
