Abstract: |
A total of 245, from a proposed 300, archaeological evaluation trenches were excavated. The evaluation was carried out in six areas. The evaluation revealed evidence of a landscape exploited and managed from the Middle Bronze Age to the present day. Although evidence of land division and agricultural land use was present across the entire site, areas of increased activity indicative of settlement appeared to be largely confined to areas of higher ground. The evaluation was able to identify three zones across the site of moderate to high archaeological potential dating to the Bronze Age and Romano-British periods. [Au(abr)] |
