Abstract: |
An archaeological desk-based assessment was undertaken in advance of a proposal to develop the site for industrial use. The assessment revealed there to be no known archaeology on the site, other than post-medieval remains associated with industrial development of the area, principally in the 19th century. The general area, however, was archaeologically rich, with multi-period remains known locally, especially higher up on the gravel terrace to the north. [Au(adp)] |
