Abstract: |
A desk-based assessment of an area proposed for mineral extraction identified cropmarks on aerial photographs indicating that a sub-rectangular enclosure might be located in the north part of the site, near Beckley Farm, with a second linear feature to the east. Fieldwalking during an earlier project had recorded a moderate density of prehistoric worked and burnt flint to the east of the track between Walkford and Hinton House, and a lower density of finds to the west of the track.
