Abstract: |
Excavations were carried out at the Eagle Hotel, Andover Road, Winchester in advance of proposed redevelopment, (a brief evaluation having occurred previously). The excavation revealed a 4th century Roman cemetery containing over 38 inhumations as well as pits and a substantial timber structure relating to two 10th-12th century properties. [Au(abr)] |
