Abstract: |
A desk-based study was undertaken to assess the archaeological implications of proposed development at the builder's yard, Malting Yard. The study suggested that there was potential for evidence of Roman and early Saxon occupation, and Late Saxon fortified settlement, to have survived within the proposal area. The study, however, indicated a greater potential for medieval rubbish pits and former boundaries to have survived. [Au(adp)] |
