Abstract: |
A two-stage study was undertaken to identify the archaeological resource of the area of a new road corridor, to assess the impact of the proposal on that resource, and to provide recommendations for mitigation. A desk-based assessment report advised where further work should be undertaken and following the report's recommendations, an evaluation was commissioned. This comprised further documentary research, measured surveys of selected earthworks noted during the assessment, a sample geophysical survey and trial trenching. Four new sites were identified, including an area of probable prehistoric land use at Trenowah and industrial features. [Au(abr)] |
