Abstract: |
The monitoring was maintained during water pipeline construction, and revealed components of a prehistoric or Roman field system. The siting of the pipeline was designed to cause minimal damage and disturbance to upstanding monuments. No artefacts were recorded from land divisions that were revealed, however a small amount of Roman pottery and undiagnostic struck flint were recovered from a number of locations on the pipetrench spoilheaps.
