Abstract: |
<summary>An assessment of land at Durrington Down Farm identified five monuments of mainly Bronze Age date. Two of the monuments, a field system and a round barrow cemetery, covered extensive areas, whilst the remaining monuments were small and spatially discrete. The survival of the monuments was generally poor, at best medium, although elements of the two larger monuments survived in better condition outside the proposal area. None of the identified monuments impinged on the area proposed for new farm buildings. (Investigation undertaken by: Timothy Darvill Archaeological Consultants.) {italon}AIP{italoff} |
