Abstract: |
The watching brief was carried out during groundworks for alterations and extensions at the Mill House. The areas at the north and south of the house revealed no archaeological evidence but the trench along the west side contained some redeposited human bone, leading to the investigation into and recovery of an inhumation burial. Parts of the remains of two brick-built structures were also revealed. These related to the alterations made to Preston Windmill in c.1859-60. [Au(adp)] |
