Abstract: |
The evaluation identified a significant late Iron Age to early Roman area of settlement and associated field systems to the east of the Rover Mole, along with a large number of post-medieval pits. No features of archaeological significance were identified along the proposed access route, but the existence of a filled-in river meander containing an alluvial sequence was confirmed immediately to the west of the River Mole.
