Abstract: |
The watching brief revealed a number of features, though their function was not determined during the course of the investigation. They may have been drainage ditches at the rear of the settlement. However, this was considered unlikely due to the proximity of a possible moated site at Court Farm. Alternatively, they may have been the result of quarrying or construction activities from when the church was extended in 1869.[Au(abr)] |
