The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 <summary>Contour survey and excavation were undertaken in an area of earthworks identified as possible medieval house platforms, in advance of the straightening of the Ashby to Loughborough Road (A512). The remains of 12th-13th century medieval timber buildings and associated earthworks were revealed. The buildings fell into disuse in the 13th century, although between the 13th and 15th centuries a possible plot boundary ditch was recut. During the 15th-17th centuries the area was levelled-up by the deposition of make-up deposits, and the earlier boundary ditches were abandoned. During the 15th-16th centuries some domestic activity took place, and from the 17th century activity seems to have been limited to dumping of material from nearby coal workings. {italon}AIP{italoff}{spacea}
