Abstract:
A watching brief was carried out on the course of a pipeline for new houses. Six burials were encountered of a previously unknown 5th-6th century Anglo-Saxon cemetery, adjoining the parch marks of a Roman road and undated enclosure. Areas of occupation east of a nearby manor suggested an extensive settlement in the area. [Au(abr)]
