Abstract: |
The archaeological watching brief was undertaken on the erection of a two-storey extension to the Grimsbury Manor, renovation of the Manor and the erection of a two-storey free standing building. The watching brief recovered pottery dating to the later 14th or 15th century from a ploughsoil. The existing house was found to have been built with a half cellar attached to the rear that had been backfilled. No other archaeological evidence was forthcoming. [Au(adp)] |
