Abstract: |
An assessment of the site concluded that there was potential to find archaeological remains from all periods, due to the non-development of areas of the site as well as the archaeology of the wider area. A rich Anglo-Saxon burial was located near the village, as well as crop marks to the north and east. Conversion of the land into a car park may have preserved any archaeological remains in situ.
