Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report Abstract:	A desk-based assessment identified a total of 137 sites. Of these 18 were either Listed buildings or contained elements that were protected through Scheduling or Listing. A further six were classed as sites of National Importance, 29 were classed as sites of Regional Importance and 84 sites of Local Importance. In addition, the assessment recorded 48 field boundaries, 44 of which could come within the remit of the Hedgerow Regulations. The route of the pipeline would pass through an area of high archaeological potential. As well as the known sites documented in this report, the discovery of further archaeological sites was extremely likely. [Au(abr)]
