Abstract: |
The assessment revealed that the site lay within a plot occupied by a substantial building in the 18th century. Such a building may well have had much earlier medieval origins. Precise correlation of the 18th century map with the modern OS map was not possible, but it looked as if the earlier structure was largely to the south and east of the present and proposed building.
