Abstract: |
In the small area exposed to view on the east side of the Khyber Road no archaeological deposits were observed. It appeared likely that this area, in front of the Lower Lines defences (a Scheduled Ancient Monument) had seen a considerable amount of disturbance over the last two hundred years, and the chance of large areas of intact archaeology of earlier date surviving was considered remote.[Au(abr)] |
