An archaeological survey of St John's Lake in Cornwall was undertaken as part of a university project. Documentary study revealed a number of lime kilns, one of which was still visible on the ground; and a number of small quays were noted as having existed along the banks of the lake. The survey discovered a stone walled fish trap, much of which was still intact and also noted Inswork Point, the site of a gun battery, features indicating what would have been its position were positively identified.
