Abstract: |
The desktop study identified eighteen sites of potential archaeological interest within the proposed development area. The earliest site was a buried Iron Age/Romano-British land surface located by auger survey close to an area of Iron Age occupation excavated prior to the construction of the M49. Features relating to medieval farmsteads, post-medieval farms, houses and cottages were also revealed. The potential also existed for the survival of prehistoric features. [AIP] |
