Abstract: |
The trial trenches were investigated due to the proposed ground works on the site associated with the refurbishment of the current building into a YMCA hostel. Features identified included a cobbled surface and wall, both of which were probably associated with a 19th century malt house which was previously on the site. A few post-medieval finds were also recovered which confirmed the dating of the features. [AIP] |
