Abstract: |
The proposed location of the works compound would have impacted upon a known prehistoric enclosure, but the decision was taken to place the compound elsewhere and not damage the archaeological remains in this area. Little of archaeological significance was identified along the pipeline corridor. Where the trench cut through the built-up area of Golant, most of the excavation work was undertaken within the existing road corridor and therefore archaeological remains were not affected. A series of extant and removed field boundaries were also recorded in the fields to the north-west of Golant. [Au(abr)] |
