Abstract: |
Three sherds of potentially interesting pottery from the base of the topsoil in Area 1 were recovered. One of the sherds was found to be late medieval in date, one from the 16th-century and the other of 16th-18th century in date. Although all three sherds were quite large there was no reason to believe that they were anything other than broken material thrown out during the spreading of manure on fields.[Au(abr)] |
