Abstract: |
The watching brief on the footpath to the west side of Beresford Hill located no archaeological features. Pottery post-1900 was located in the topsoil, together with brick and slate fragments. Investigations into the excavation at the rear of Lady Bessies Cottage located two in situ ragstone blocks which may have been a revetment to the base of the embankment of the Iron Age camp.
