Abstract: |
The archaeological observation of the foundation trenches led to the recognition of remnants of the post-medieval mansion, of Sir Roger Manwood's St Stephen's House. Other features proved to be contemporary with the construction of the house. The foundation design was changed by agreement to ensure complete preservation of all the masonry.[AIP] |
