Abstract: |
<summary>A watching brief during groundworks associated with development at 327-329 High Street revealed features of post-medieval date, probably representing rubbish pits. Recording of the exposed party-wall with the adjoining property demonstrated two phases of construction: an original half-timbered and wattle-and-daub construction, probably on stone footings; replacement of the north-eastern and south-western walls with brick and extending the height, and replacement of the sides of the roof, probably in the 19th century. {italon}AIP{italoff} {italon}SMR Primary Record Numbers:{italoff} GLOS11847 |
