Abstract: |
The evaluation consisted of six trenches, representing a 4.7% sample of the area excavated in advance of a proposed residential development. The results did not indicate the survival of any archaeological remains within the site area. Evidence suggested that there was never any significant occupation of the site. The presence of burnt flint and flint tempered pottery in colluvium and disturbed brick-earth deposits indicated there was some activity of probable prehistoric date in the general area. [Au(adp)] |
