Abstract: |
Further archaeological investigations were undertaken prior to construction of a new road. Excavations were carried out in four areas of archaeological interest, which had been identified during an earlier evaluation. Substantial evidence of archaeological activity was identified and included a system of substantial enclosure ditches of indeterminate date, a late Bronze Age settlement comprising three circular huts within a rectilinear system of enclosure ditches, and features of Iron Age, Romano-British and post-medieval date.
