Abstract: |
An evaluation was carried out at a proposed development site. Several prehistoric artefacts had been found within the nearby River Thames, and a river crossing had existed in the vicinity since 1231 AD. During the evaluation, fragments of post-medieval clay pipe and pottery, animal bone and a coin dating from 1775 were recovered. No archaeological deposits were revealed, and it was concluded that much of the site had no archaeological potential. [AIP] |
