Abstract: |
Project 6 of the 1995 Eastry-Whitfield Bypass was the excavation of a series of machine-cut evaluation trenches towards the northern end of the route, in an arable field. One archaeological feature was revealed, a ditch thought to have been prehistoric. The feature could have possibly related to a lost round barrow. Prehistoric activity in the area was also represented by the struck flints picked-up on the surface of the field. [Au(adp)] |
