Abstract: |
From the massive size of the feature, a pit measuring 99 x 40 metres it was concluded that it represented an infilled brick-pit, that was probably dug in the first half of the 19th century. Most of the brick-pits in Deal appeared to be of 19th, rather than 18th century date, which confirmed that the present pit was dug after the Barracks were established.[Au(abr)] |
