Abstract:		 The watching brief was undertaken during groundworks for new flood defences for the River Clyst. All the deposits encountered related to modern activity, either in the construction of the recent river wall, to the raising and construction of the car parking area. The only finds recovered were of 19th or 20th century date. [Au(adp)]
