Abstract: |
Ten evaluation trenches were excavated in advance of building alterations. A possible backfilled quarry pit containing medieval pottery was the earliest feature recorded. Structural elements predating the extant 19th century building componenets were also identified, including floors, post holes, walls and beam-slots. Wall foundations were noted in the garden. A stone-lined rubbish pit of the 19th or 20th century was found. [Au(abr)] |
