Abstract: |
Six holes and one trench were excavated in the proposed residential development area. This followed the recovery of medieval timbers during the excavation for footings for a nearby bungalow. No archaeological features were discovered and very few finds of any date were noted. Re-used 15th century decorated beams were found in one of the barns on the site, coming from a high status building possibly in the immediate area. [Au(abr)] |
