Abstract: |
Excavations for drainage trenches were monitored by the Canterbury Archaeological Trust at the Ladywell car-park, Dover. A total of some 60 metres of trench was observed and this revealed fragments of six separate stone walls (most seemingly of early post-medieval date), two 19th century brick-built barrel vaulted drains, together with a sequence of early yard surfaces and more recent, disturbed deposits.
