Abstract: |
The fieldwork included the investigation of narrow topsoil strips, some limited boundary recording and the investigation of mining remains. Identified features included flints of Mesolithic and Neolithic date and two ditches of Iron Age/Romano British origin, contemporary with a fortified (round) enclosure to the south-east of Dowran. Medieval and post-medieval artefacts were also recovered, along with agricultural features and evidence of later mining. [Au(abr)] |
